“An organization that establishes its cyber protection on off-the-shelf products – is not protected and is exposed to threats. With all of the respect that we have for the technological tools, they know how to fight the yesterday’s war. Hackers are learning these tools and they become less and less effective”, said Aviram Eisenberg, Co-CEO of IGNITE, a firm that engages in Cyber solutions and consulting for organizations.
Eisenberg spoke during INFOSEC 2014, people and computers’ Information Security conference, that was recently held at the Convention Center Avenue. Eisenberg participated in track technology solutions.
“Most of the attacks are, eventually, made with the assistance of the someone from the inside”, Eisenberg said, “You can always get the most junior employee with low wages to help transfer passwords or innocuous information without his knowledge. With his help you can neutralize all the technological chain of the organization.”
“The solution we have developed is based on behavior analysis”, Eisenberg said, adding that “we have systems that combine honeypot and very smart artificial intelligence, a thing that is very important to Cyber and also identifies all outliers.”
Eisenberg found that “statistics say that there is a regular pattern to abnormal behavior within the organization or outside it and based on that we base our ability to identify and alert.”
He concluded: “We believe in a combination between technology and people – we must not be dependent on technology.”
