Israeli Company Jetro Platforms has implemented its secured internet browsing and app virtualization systems in Hotel Chain Dan. The project started this March and is supposed to finish in the next couple of months. The project is valued in at a few hundred thousand Israeli Shekels (Alternatively ILS or 100 thousand US Dollars – depends on the project of course).
Jetro Is part of the Team-Netcom group, which is in itself a part of MalamTeam. The new system serves about a 1,000 users spread across Dan’s 14 Hotels.Yossi Gabai, VP of information systems in Dan Hotels: “The project created a central management system that allow our users to browse securely while retaining a good user experience”
“We looked on some alternatives for the challenges we face, like the allocation of the hotels all over Israel, the need for an easy to use app interface and management, and the need to keep internet browsing secure”, said Yossi Gabai, VP of information systems in Dan Hotels, and added that “The project created a central management system that allow our users to browse securely while retaining a good user experience. It also lets the IT and Internet infrastructure managers to set the organization’s surfing policy, Thus letting the end users work with the organization’s apps easily, without time and location constraints.”
Nurit Horwitz, JETRO CEO, said that “These solutions allow the network infrastructure’s administrators to manage and apply security policies, deciding what apps are allowed to use the network, while allowing the application of an information security policy regarding safe Web browsing. This is done using a central management interface.”
