“We work in the business of scaremongering. Each day we scan the threats and at this conference we scared each other well,” said Tzuri Tamam, a senior presale engineer at F5, adding that “the scope of threats crossed the boundaries of the network long ago. Organizations are much more decentralized, and threat-wise we are basically have organizations without boundaries. ”
Tamam spoke during INFOSEC 2014, People and Computers‘ Information Security conference, that was recently held at the Convention Center Avenue. Eisenberg participated in track technology solutions.
“Hackers have a variety of methods to bomb sites in order to disable essential services and damage normal life. The DDOS everyone is talking about now, is actually a smoke screen that hackers use to get their hands on sensitive information, which will in turn be used to steal money or information for political purposes”, explained Tamam.
He added that “F5 sees infrastructure as a major destination for attacks – that is why we developed systems that detect those kind of attacks.”
Tamam introduced the F5′s Web Safe Solutions, and referred to them as a “suite of products that knows how to protect the organization at all stages – from the moment the user enters the site, runs an application and generates transactions.”
